Your cylinder must be tested (re-qualified) on or before the last day of December 2002.

this is a great website to have for figuring that out......and he is right, the "1a11" has nothing to do with the date.

yes and no........according to the DOT spec, if your tank was manufactured before july of 2001, it will have to be hydrotested in three years. every hydrotest after that will be a 5 year test. yours was manufactured in 2000. so it has a three year hydro for the first one.

it does apply to you, but you have to get the first hydro done to satisfy the DOT spec for the 5 year hydro.

go to www.dot.gov and do a search on the DOT number on your tank, it will explain everything (that number should look like E-11049 or something)

then trust what we tell you! If you arnt willing to do your own research (this would be known as lazy) then dont argue with what people tell you!

Yes, your tank is out of date and no quality field will fill it. If you get it retested, it will become a 5 year hydro, but it is not yet.

i did do some research on it and i heard two different things. i'm just saying i dont want to take the time out of practicing for a tournament that is in a week. I just got this tank in a trade today and was told it was in hydro, but i wanted to make sure.

when I said "I dont want to", I meant test it.
