What happened everybody?!

We had a HUGE showing of people that wanted to go out, and now everybody is wimping out. Is that the AO way? No sir.

It's not fair to the people that are planning the event to soup their heads up by saying "Yes we'll come." and then saying "Oops. Can't go."

Let's make this a BIG tradition and a HUGE turnout.

I mean, come on. Tom himself is coming out. And we know he only goes to the BIG AO days. When Tom comes out, he brings goodies. You know that. Maybe we'll get to see that Y-Frame of his. You can pick his brains about the 'Mag, his telescope, his fossil collection or about how badly we're going to whoop Shatner this year.

Let's make it an event to remember. There's still time to get travel plans together. There are still rooms available. If not, then I offer up my own personal bed and take the floor. That's how serious I am.

Rally for the Megameet!!

OK folks. I just read Jons thread, and while I didn't say I would go, I now want to. Even if you don't like the way the message is said, you've got to admit he's got a point.

I've now met Jon on two different occasions (AO NJ 2 and A ONE III). He is as nice a person as you would ever want to meet and has done allot to make these meets happen.

We practically begged for a Megameet. The least we can do is make the maximum possible effort to show up. Even though it is a business, you've got to admit that Tom and the staff at AGD go way above and beyond for customer satisfaction.

It's up to us to prove to them that it is worthwhile. If we don't, we get a world full of Smart Parts and Kingman. Which is exactly what we'll deserve.

That being said. I am moving to my new townhouse on the 15th. Still I can arrange to have Friday off of work and drive out Thursday night if I can get at least two other people who would like to car pool out. If the drive or the cost of hotel room was a turn off for you, this may help to offset it.

Anywhere in and around Ocean County New Jersey area. PM me if you would like to do this.

So that's it. If AGD stops supporting AO days, it won't be my fault.

Same, Reo5th is being a poop head . I may be able to convince him, but he's got his own issues that are valid, and I still wanna go. I've got a van, and it's leaving from brookline, MA at approximately 1400 hours on thursday. Actually i have no idea when it's leaving :). I've got probably 2 more guys coming with me, but I can take more. You back seaters can be cramped the whole way, i could care less, gas money and lower hotel costs are more important than if you'll be able to walk after the car ride :) If reo5th comes we may or may not be able to fit another, I'll have to let y'all know when i know.
