Forums back up at 100%
Hiya,
As you can see your good friend and mine, woody 2, decided that since he got a shiny new Impulse he didnt need to be on our forum anymore. I know all of you welcomed him to stay and were quite polite. I guess between that and being miffed at a moderator for DOING HIS JOB - he decided it would be fun to flood the whole site. Like an idiot, I had the flood protection turn down low - because it can be annoying for some users. This caused the CGI scripts to hang and clog up the server. We did a remote reboot, but I guess that isnt 100%, as it didnt come back up. I had delaware.net reboot this moring, but in MY haste to delete the posts, I too caused the CGI to clog and bog the server down. So another reboot - a few more edits - a couple IPs placed in the ban folder - and tada. Back to normal. Well - as normal as this place gets.
So - woody 2 is banned. Adios.
We now have flood protection, so you have to wait 60 secs between posts. Sorry, jerks ruin it for everyone!
GOOD NEWS - the new server is in - and they are installing software - we should port the forums over on Monday. I will make an announcement to that...
