Has anyone had this happen?

Well today, i went to the local scuba shop to get my tank filled (68/45 Maxflow) and the guy could not get it to hold are, kept leaking out of the fill nipple. Soo i said its probably just dirty i will bring it back. I get home and take the fill nipple off to find that the check valve, its broken and part of it is rattling around in the tank. So i toot he reg off the bottle, and got it out.

Has anyone had this or heard of this happening?
And i am assuming i can get new check valves and nipples from smart parts?

what does the check valve sound like when rattling in the tank?? My buddy who works at the local paintball shop has a pure energy 3000 88 and when you jiggle it, it sounds like there is a very small steel ball rolling around inside, it's obviously broken cause none of the other tanks do this, does that sound about right?

yea thats what is sounds like, take the fill nipple off, and check the check vavle, for broken,cracked or missing pieces, and its a good idea to get that piece of metal out

A friend of mine has a pure energy tank that makes the same noise. Must be a pure energy thing
