if you already have a retro valve and dont care about the weight then it's not really necessary. if you only have a classic valve and think it's to heavy then go for it.

I'd say the level 10 is more important than the XValve. if you have the money though, go X

Yo Jam, I know your well known around this board, but You do know that the X comes with lvl 10. don't you? I would say it is if you do the valve trade because it will eliminate short strokeing and raise your rof alot.

I want to expand on the earlier question.

Is the x-valve worth it if you have a standard grip frame? (Do you have to have an intelliframe for the x-valve to increase ROF?)

I would say you do need an Intelliframe (or double trigger)to realize the speed difference between the X valve and the Reg valve. If you have an RT valve, I would just get a level 10. If you have a Reg. A.I.R. valve, then I think it is worth it to get the X valve. All your really doing is upgrading to an RT with a Level 10.

Whoa, almost missed this assault on my knowledge..

Yeah, i know that, i was just suggesting that if he didn't want to pony up the cash for the XValve he could just pop in the Level10 and at least get the less-chop benefit and save himself almost $250... the RT effect is nice and the weight savings is good too, but it's not for everyone. The stock valve can handle a decent number of BPS as is.
