    Question for machinists, tinker's ect.

    We were talking this weekend about the cocker threaded bodies and my SFL. The topic came up that my teammate hated to lose his stock emag barrel. Then we bounced around the idea of cutting it off directly in front of the ball port and turning it down and threading it with cocker threads. Is such a thing possible?

    It's just a crazy thought but I wonder if there is enough metal there to play with like that.

    Of course there is.

    The only problem will be if the detent ridge is too deep and interferes with the threads.

    This can be done with a hacksaw, a belt sander, and metal lathe.

        It can be done very easily.

        AGDE has a program for their CNC Lathe that does this automatically

        You can see one of the first test barrels that this was tried on when we took pictures of Pandora's C&C X-mag (the first one sold).
