what IS "SFL"?

i've seen lots of references to the SFL mag, and i have no idea what it is. what is it and how does it differ from other mags?

The SFL E-Mag was a custom milled Extreme E-Mag by Shocktech. It basically was the first iteration of what is now known as the X-Mag. Aluminum bodied E-Mag with cocker threading. It came out prior to the level 10 bolt and ACE but could be upgraded when those components became available. There were only 50 or so made and Shocktech has no plans to do more. You can sometimes find them for sale in the Makers foum here on AO or E-Bay.

Like the others said, SFL is a run of different guns (Cockers are the most popular, also made SFL Bushies, timmies, and a Matrix, I think...) that shocktech made that were Super F'in light.

But the SFL E-Mag is probably the most sought after gun here on AO... There are only around 30-40 in the world, and I had the pleasure of owning one for 6 months... Probably the sweetest gun I've ever owned. Even if it was Baby-Poop Green...

SFL is shocktechs run of guns, they've gone cockers and emags and thats it I think. If its not shocktech and labeled as an SFL, its not an SFL

Think of the SFL emag as a much improved, sexier version of the micro-e mag. It's got changeable breeches, and can be milled for the eye. Not to mention milled much sexier than a micro e and having the ULE gripframe (I think).

SFL stands for Super _ _ _ _ ing Light.
Most of the shocktech runs are the lightest avalibe version of that marker (currently hold the award of lightest electronic marker with the shocktech bushy) and are usually fully upgraded with Parts form shocktech or another manufacturer.
