    AO on Maui vacation

Just wanted to ask the AO family. If you were vacationing on my island of maui and had never played paintball before?? Along with the other activities you can do here would you play paintball??? This would be on the westside where most of the resorts and hotels are.
    Thanks for your input.

IF I had not play paintball before, it's an activity I would consider doing, not for full day, maybe a half day. IF I had play ball before, it's something I would not want to do. It's not too often I get a chance to go to Hawaii (been there only once) wouldn't wanna waste whatever time I had there playing ball.

Hey MauiPFB. I remember talking to you about playing in Maui in the AO chatroom. I'll be going there this January and DEFINATELY want to play.. You'll need to give me your e-mail or phone number so we can hook up!!!!
Oh if I were me and had never payed paintball. I probably wouldn't go unless I got some sort of package deal where I could play paintball and then have some other activity worked in with it. Cliff diving, snorkeling, volcano jumping, ect..

If I were on vacation, I'd want a "Laser Tag" (edit)style play(/edit), where you could pick the number of games to play, honestly flexibility as to the amount the person could play would be the key for me.

I'd rather go scuba diving than paintballing if I was in Maui. Oh wait...that's just what I did when I was there in May.

I would. You will have to be creative in your advertizing towards the "family" atmosphere to try and capture the family's of tourists that go there. Are you thinking of stating a business or do you currently own one? I worked on the big island at HVO (kilauea) last year. I looked and could only find one place to play there, down near kapoho. My work brought me to Haleakala too. I think you could have lots of success there if done right. Good luck and let us know how it works out.

Very true.. you would have to market the Family and Fun part of the sport over the other aspects that tend to cloud the minds of folks on the sport.

Go with bright colors.. NO CAMMO! Be festive over combative. You have to look at your target demographic and use what will work for them. This would not work too well in the US Midwest, BUT would work great in Maui. People go on vacation in tropical places to either relax or be festive.... NOT go into combat (as a rule). That is unless you went to China Beach 20 years ago.

I would also team up with other tourist businesses in the area to help "direct" people from one business to another. Maybe create a package deal where the tourist could go from one event to the other in a scheduled manner and save money at the same time. You know, a Maui Adventure Fun Pack!

I am sure they already do things similar to this. Use your creativity!!!!
