J&J Edge Kit

I'm looking at a new kit, and J&J Edge is by far the cheapest quality setup... I was wondering if anyone has seen this kit for $114 with chrome backs instead of black like in this link...

Q,apparently they arent doing chrome alu backs any more. the chrome apparently would chip both outside and inside, and ruin the finish. so its just black backs now.... and there is always SS

Also if someone has a set of these, is the black on the back glossy or flat? How close of a match is the red to the red ULE?

That picture came from J & J's homepage. If you click on on-line ordering at the top you can select which thread style you want (ie: cocker, mag, angel, etc) then what barrel.

I have the old J&J barrel kit and it seems like it is never going to chip... it is very nice looking too. If you can still find one of the polished kits, I would go for it.

I was gonna order the SS backs from J&J but they're like $55 apiece so I decided to go with the black Alum's instead.

Anyone know how good the alignment on the back/front is? I'm looking at this or a Sceptre kit and this is a much cheaper option so to speak.

The alignment on the J&J is great ! I've put a case throught it already with NO breaks ! Great barrel for $115

Just to clarify... the silver backs aren't chrome or stainless - they're polished aluminum.
