Good size for a 3/5 man combo field

    Hey all ...

Wanting to redo the tourney field at my local field, and wanted to know what do you all think is a good size (in feet LxW) for a field that can hold both 3 and 5 man games on ...

    Thanks,

    Aaron

I'm gonna guess about 50-60 by 150-200, not counting out of bounds. And it depends on how many bunkers you intend to employ. Better to build a five man and play 3 man on it than the other way around.

Yeah the idea of building it as a 5-man was pretty much what I wanted to do.

Just wasnt sure on a good size, they had a three man before that was just to small. Most people never left the starting bunker just turn and shoot.

My idea is to create a starting point, u-shaped PVC pipe with netting, so that you cannot just stay there.

Thanks for the info, makes planning it out a heck of allot easier.

        i would agree. 60-70 x 130-160 are good dimensions

roughly 13-16 bunkers for 5-man too

finally, we just have a upside down u-shaped thing for everyone to start under. no cover offered there. no netting, nothing. works well...aout 7 ft tall and 5 ft wide

          hmm

I think a little bigger than that may be better though

I would go with the higher end of the specs, maybe 175 long and 80 wide.

I play on several that are 200x100 and that seems a really good size.
