Yet another request for short barrel merchants.

I did some searches on the forum and read a lot of posts, but other than the 8" crown tip barrel and stock minimag barrels sold directly by Airgun Designs, there really doesn't seem to be any currently or recently produced short barrels for the automag line. (Wow, what a run-on sentence.)

Anyway, I'm desparately searching for a 6-8" black aluminum barrel that doesn't suck. (which is the general consensus I get about the crown tip from reading posts.)

I've done multiple searches on Yahoo and visited many paintball vendor sites. The shortest I've seen is 10". The only 8" barrels I've seen are for the VM68, Tippmann A5 and one for the Autococker.

I'd really rather not have to buy one used, and hope the previous owner took good care of it.

Does anyone know of any newly produced short barrels, or at least ones that were made a long time ago but recently found in the back of some warehouse?

I know it's a stretch, but I'd like to exhaust all my options before buying something I may not be happy with.

    Thanks
    -Kirk

You can buy an Equation Design Bizerk Pro Barrel, uses stainless inserts that don't suck like freak ones do. I use an 8" Bizerk and it shoots just as good as anything else out there. It's like $50 for the barrel and 1 insert, which is probably all you need just get the .693. I think the only place that sells them is http://www.advancedpaintball.com/ good luck.

you could probably buy a pretty cheap and pretty good barrel... and then introduce it to mr hack saw and mr dremel?

If you get a J&J Edge kit back and a 10' J&J Two Piece barrell front you will have a excellant 8' barrell. The two piece back is longer than the Edge back so the 10' Two piece front ends up being 8'.

dye also has a small barrel, they make a 10 inch mag threaded stainless barrel, they're kinda rare but just ask dayspring, he has one on his emag which is the back up to his x-mag. i tried to buy it form him but he said hes keeping it.
