I sure hope it will work with the Dye Grip .. Leverage seems to be the most obvious .. but when AGD said the parts were "small and fragile", how could it be a sear? My votes for something to do with the On/Off..

EDIT ~ he also said that he wanted to make them idiot proof (me = idiot )

Look guys, I'm 95% sure that the sear would not be changed.

                Here is my thinking....

We are not chaning the pressure inside the valve, therefore the force of the on/off will be the same as before. The bolt pushing against the sear creates some of the friction...

Alright, now if you think about it, the sear looks king of like a Y. Now, the lower part of the y, which the swinging pin attaches to would be what determines the leverage. The pivot spot on the frame would stay the same because the distance between the pin and bolt trip point cannot be changed. Okay, back to the | part of the y. Think about this, if you moved it forward, the sear would push the pin up easyer but it would be harder to trip the bolt, which is probably the main source of the friction. So, since you can't move the | part forward the only other option is further back. I didn't think out the weigh changes with this because you don't need to, there is no room further back in grip.

If I had any sort of guess on how this workd it would go like this...

You wouldn't have a spring because that would add constant pressure pushing back on the sear, this would make the pull lighter but could cause pre-mature firing. Premature firing is not something top would include in a product.

Okay, In my mind the best way of lightening the pull weight but not adding extra pressure on the sear in any shape or form is a system of weight distribution. This could be possible through small pullie like mechanisms that would lower your current trigger pull by 2/3. This could be increased to lower your triggerpull by 99% but it would not be feasible, atleast as a drop in mod. These two pullies would be placed in strategit places in the frame, which from what we are told so far does not interfere with the intelli feed. These would be placed within the frame cavity strategily, and attached to the trigger rod or trigger and then to the sear, most likely at the end of the | part of the Y described earlier. This would effectively cut the trigger pull by 2/3 and maximize the leverage effect of the current sear system. I'm afread to investigate more because there was hell to pay putting brand new dye stickies on my I frame... But In any even this is my speculation. Lets see if I can create a picture... I'll grap another Dr. Pepper and see If I can spit it out tonight for you guys.

Behold, the power of 15 yr olds.... I'm not sure if im right, but so far it seems the only feasible idea of doing this. Oh btw tom... I'll be your first test bunny.

Don't know what % lighter this would be... I'm guessing either 1/16 or 1/8 of your current pull. This definately isn't toms idea but I'm tempted to try this.... Could possibly be lighter then e trigger...

tom wasnt very forthcoming with details of this at the MegaMeet, which caused alot of intrigue and speculation. which i think is great, it gets us all thinking together as a group to determine the method behind toms madness.

i also agree with whomever said its going to be something so simple that when we see it we will react 'ohh, thats how its done, why didnt I think of that to begin with'

I have NO idea nor speculation that hasnt already been presented in this thread. I do have a general idea when it MAY be available to the public.

from tom at the MM: "this should be out in a couple of months, but the Y Frame will be out before this Trigger"

there you have it. I wish I could say more, and I REALLY wish that this trigger would come out sooner, I cannot wait to put one on my gun.

What about the Y Frames? Will this new mod be compatable with those (cause that's what I'm gonna get for my Mini... That is if I can get the bloody thing to work...)

ummmmm tom said it will fit in rt's and inteliframes...... this is what i think hes using reverse psychology so we can take our minds of other parts or the gun........ but anyways i was thinking of sorta making a magnate trigger similar to the e/x mags but make it attract a bit and when it fires then the same pressure of the on/off will push the sear back forward. and this will work on all agd triggers cuz the its just adding some magnets.but who am i to tell you what tome is doing

i hope this comes out soon. I think it has something to do with leverage. if you moved the pivot point further back on the sear you would drop the force it would require to pull. and still have the reactivness of the R/T, b/c tom did state this would not affect the reactivness of the R/T Valves. Just what i think. but we will see. But Although tom did say they are tryin to make it idiot proof soo maybe it is something more?
