are the SN engraved in the metal of the valve?? would stripping it and re annoing remove them is what I am getting at here?

You can't re-anno them. It's a hard anno. Tom had mentioned this in another thread. Plus, you'd void ANY warranty you had. -
yeah it was my thread before about polishing. but I have seen them re annoed, I know it can be done. Hold on I'll get a pic.

hmm I thought the pic was on PBNation, perhaps it was on the pig? I'll keep lookin, but what tom said was burn off the numbers void the warranty, someobe else in that same post had bead blasted the anno off an RT valve, said it was real tough but it came off. hence if it was stripped with chemicals (perhaps it is too strong an anno for that)insted of being rubbed or blasted off then it wouldn't remove SN's and wouldn't void the warranty. I dunno?
