Whoaaaa buddy sanding is anti-polish. go to your local auto parts store or hardware store and get some buffing pads and buffing compound in the car care section. strip your gun down into peices and rub away!

If you have a bench grinder you can get buffing wheels for them which would take alot of the hand work out of buffing your gun.

              fine, I'll be nice:

Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

Damnit NJPaint, you beat me to it.

Personally, I went the extra step and went to 2000 grit. Don't know whether that helped but eh.

I went rummaging through my mom's polishing cabinate, i'll try to find what it was.

Oh and spaceddedybear, I only went to 1000, but I used two differnt kinds of steel wool after that. Those really made a difference, probobly similar to your 2000 grit.

Just wondering, could you use a dremel with the buffing head instead of the bench grinder with buffing wheel??

dremel works fine for final steps, but takes forever and a day... Also, it is hard to get in around the powerfeed tube, even with the little cable extender for the dremel.
