The only reason that there is even a debate between mags and cockers, is that the prefix auto' is on both of there names.

They are both nice guns, mags are more dependable. Some people prefer the trigger on cockers better

It's like I said before about the motorcycles. You ride on a motorcyle, you ride in a harley. Harley's happen to vibrate alot so they breakdown alot more, yet people still think they are the "best damn motorcycles on the planet."

A cocker is more customizable, so you can call a cocker "your cocker". The bodys are very easy to mill, the trigger is nice and smooth.

As for the bad things on a cocker, timing it can be a pain in the backside, they break relatively easy, the backblock looks cool, yet it gets annoying after a while.

A mag is arguably the most reliable marker on the market. Truly field stripable, simple to maintain, there are only 3 parts in the internals that could have a problem, and those problems are very easy to identify. A you can make a mag very pretty too.

Some people don't like the feel of a mag trigger. Personally, I love it, but this is one of the main reasons that people switch, or buy a different gun.

    It's all in preference.

I say never debate over a gun until you have shot it/owned it. While it may be somewhat true about that reliability, the trigger of a cocker is smooth like a lady. I'm thinking of going to WGP for a while cuz that trigger is too sweet. *wipes drool off corner of lip*

well i own an autococker and used to have a mag ( i wish i still had it )
this debate goes not because of the name but because 5 years ago they were the top tourney guns, they are no doubt the longest semis still on the market, and also have the most memeralbe names.

          now to the point
the autococker trigger is sweet and very smooth but if you short stroke it will all most for sure chop a ball, now ive shot maybe 8.000 paintballs through mine ( ive only had it for two months) and have had about 4 short strokes and 3 had chops.

now on the automags you short stroke and most likey it will shot out about 10-20 feet and make a farting noise only once and a while will break.

          i like booth the triggers

          hope i have helped
