    Phantom question

I have had my phantom for a little under 3 years now. And I wanted to make it "original." I was looking at Docs website and noticed he put pneumatic assists on a few of his phantoms. I was wondering what it does for the marker, what are the advantages or disadantages of having one on the marker?

its a little onthe spendy side, but what it does is shorten and lighten the pump stoke. right now you have a nice smooth 1"-1 1/4" pump stroke, right? but you have to over come the hammer spring and the pump arm return spring when you pump it. with the air assist setup, you are pumping a 3-way. only takes a couple ounces of pressure to move and about 1/8" stroke. the pnuematicas do the hard work of pumping the gun for you.

I have heard of people that could get semi like speed out of a phantom with this. (autotriggering)
