'Freak Fronts' mean AA fronts too?

I know this may be a dumb question, but I dont want to make an even worse mistake. When a website says (pbgear) "All American Freak Front" that means it also goes on the All american barrel too, right? Also, since it is basing the length on a freak back, how different is the AA back in lenght? Such as if I got a 16" 'freak front' AA front would the barrel actually be 16"?

im pretty sure that the AA and freak backs are the same lenght.

um, yeah lol. All the freak/aa fronts will fit freak or All american back. So any new smartparts 2pc barrel is interchangibal (sp)


about lenth, if its a mag barrel add like an inch. Allthough thats with a freak, i dunn about the new AA.

my old AA is a 12in on the dot (being mag threds)

Thanks, but what I mean by length is, is the freak back a different length than the AA back? If it is then a 16" AA freak tip wouldnt actually be 16", it would be 16" on a freak back (not talking about the mag milling or anything). I guess it doesnt matter though, thanks

The backs are the same but I can tell you the Freak Front ( aka the Tear Drop style one) is longer than the AA Front. Or at least it was. I had em both and the AA front was about an inch shorter then THE SAME lenght Freak Front.. yea I know... But it was.

Yep! Pretty strange huh? But it's always kinda been that way. Even in the regular Tear Drop and AA barrels the AA one alway ran a little shorter than its counter part size in tear drop barrel. Seems it carried over into the Freak tips too.

I guess it still is that way but I have not had any of the newer Smart Parts barrels to tell. These are all like a year or so back.

The AA Mag back is longer than the Freak mag back, i will post pics tommrow, too late tonight

The reason for the length discrepency is that the 14" AA Front is actually the 13.5" AA front which is the standard length for the 2k2 All Americans. AA fronts are available in true 10", 12" and 16" as well I believe.
