Yes! Mr. Hoover sucessfully recovers a stolen marker that comes into his shop yesterday. Seems he reads about the marker on the Internet just moments before it gets presented to him for a fill. The power of the net as a locator is demonstrated. And then he proceeded to do some brilliant diversion to keep control of it. I will not go into the details as to how he managed to retain possesion of it until it could be identified. We do not want to tip off would be theifs as to how it might go down.
But identifying it positively was made somewhat difficult by the lack of serial numbers on the marker. And thats why we want to bring this up. I think it was a GZ that was made before they started serializing them. And so it was lucky that the owner knew very minute details so that the police were satisfied it was his. One should think about making sure they keep serial numbers handy somewhere and in cases where there are not maybe engraving ID numbers on them in some inconspicous place. I think most local Police departments will do this kind of engraving for you.
So case closed by Detective Hoover and the bad guys are now in the hands of the law.
Hooray for Rob in catching the bad guys. He is my hero!!!

). Anyway so feeling bad for Cockerman and his situation I offered to let him & his team borrow my Excal and/or 'Cocker both of which were in my car. I gave him my car keys to retrieve my marker and as he stated he used my Excal for the remainder of the day and left his own GZ with his teams gear & bags at 'Hog Heaven' (cabin at the top of the hill). I should have directed him to stow his kit in my car and lock it up but stuff was moving fast and as the NoVA paintball community is pretty close knit and folks are generally cool/chill it didn't even occur to me or Cockerman to do so. I mean think of how many times you have left ton$ of junk sitting out in between events or just while hangin' out chatting with folks?!
