This is back in the crappy cocker days, and no sponsorship involving DYESTUFF (sorry, gotta rub it in) anyways, here it is, I wasnt very good then but thats bout how most people hold there guns.

thx. I cant wait till I get a Y-grip. I messed with Tom's prototype at the last AOTX meet and the angle is perfect. when I get that, the tank will be inside right where I like it, and my wrist will be at a more natural angle. I feel that the angle of my wrist with my current setup is adversly effecting my ROF...

I try to do that to avoid hopper-hits, but when I'm snap-shooting (the time that habit would be most useful) I end up forgetting...That's what causes most of my eliminations...

i've seen dynasty , aftershock and a couple other pro teams do that in my worldcup 2k2 dvd, whats the point of it, the only reason i saw to it, was they were reloading while shooting at the hip, but i saw a few never reload just shooting at the hip.

A few reasons for this Spork...

1) Situation awareness: when you put your nose to the marker and sight down the barrel, you're focusing very intently on one location (tunnel vision) and you can easily lose track of things going on elsewhere. With your head up and away from your marker, you are more aware of your perifreal vision.

2) Lower noise interference: With the marker closer to your head, you get more marker related noise interfering with what you can hear around you. Players sometimes do this to be able to hear what their teammates are saying and still maintain supressive fire at their intended target. Anyone who has played tourney speedball knows that communication is key and that it is sometimes difficult to hear what your teammates are shouting at your with the crowd yelling and all the shooting going on.

3) Walking paint on target: You don't need to sight down your marker to be able to adjust your string of paint as you're shooting it. Usually when you're trying to keep someone's head down, all you need to do is shoot the barricade they are hiding behind, just walk the paint to the edge where you think they might stick their head out and keep up the fire until your team's favorite bunker monkey is in position to take the player out.
