My friend does not like to spend money but he nedds a nice gun which one of these should he get a 98 custom with an e-bolt for $275, or a shocker 4*4 for $350, or an impy for $400, or a rat jr for $525. Please help him or if you have a used gun that he could buy for that price range.

Personally, I would go with the Impy. If you're willing to maintain it, it will take you a long way and serve you well. Course, I don't know too much about shockers...
Anyway I'd say Impy, as long as you don't mind keeping it clean, as well as the height of the whole thing.

Ok, I know the kid and don't you think he should get the 98? I mean it has an e-bolt (which is awsome for thos of you who have fired it) and you can upgrade it like crazy.

To a point... but if you plan on moving up to a better marker in the future, the resale value does NOT go up very much compared to $$ you pump into a 98. I mean I personally have RT, barrel, grips, drop... other than maybe a trigger, there's not much more you can do to a 98... although that thing will NEVER go down on you, so it's cool for a newb.Originally posted by The Yellow Dart
