Which sear for a Micromag2k vert feed w/ Xvalve?

I emailed AGD about this.. If I should use the sear that comes with the Xvalve on my Micromag2000 vert feed. It was originally a ReTro Micromag, the 2000 ones with the vertical feed.

I do have a sear right now but I'm not sure what kind/size it is. AGD said they didn't know and told me to contact PTP but they are worthless and they don't know what I'm talking about.

What do you guys think? Should I use the sear that comes w/ the xvalve on my micro or should I use the one I have or what?

How do I know what to use? Will I have to buy another one?

    Thanks.

The trigger rod length may be different. If they are same, you can use either one. Otherwise, you will have to find the one that will work.

I eyeballed the trigger rod length. when I built a micro. Basically, with frame on, and valve out, when you push the sear down (at the on/off), you want the bolt catch section of the sear to become horizontal.(parallel with the bottom of body) Adjust trigger rod until you get to this point.

Come on guys I need to know!

I KNOW some of you micromag guys have an xvalve! What sear did you use?? Did you use your original sear or the one that came with the xvalve? How do you know which one to use and how do you set it up?

        Thanks!

Originally mine was a retro. When I bought the X, I didn't change the sear. Should work fine. Should, being the operative word...

Edit: And the reason I didn't was because it never occured to me. I didn't have any problems. If I remember correctly, any issues I had were resolved with the proper on/off pin length.

Use the sear that is in the gun now. If it works for the valve you have now it will work for the X-valve.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I think the Micro Mag has a larger sear pin hole and so you need to stay with the one that was in it. I know thats the case on the Micro E and if you have a screw in pin in the body (which I think you do) you will note that the diameter of the sear pins hole on the Micro sear is larger (I think). Compare them side by side and see. If that checks out and the Original is larger then you need to stay with the original Micro Mags sear. Simple thing to check.

                micro sear

Micromag sear is the same as a standard AGD sear, regardless if it is RT, MicroEmag, etc, they all use the standard AGD sear in them. Unless you got the Emag/RtPro version of the Xvalve, your sear should be exactly the same in the Micromag.

Newer micro bodies have a threaded sear pin to hold them in place because the grip frames dont come up and around the body like they used to. The threaded sear pin is no different in diameter than the standard sear pin in a AGD rail.
