    It's there so when they ship the gun, it won't accidentily turn on and drain the battery. Then, person picks up the gun and they say "It doesn't work."

    You can chuck it if you really want. (remember, they use the same battery packs that the Emags do.)

      yes its there to cover accidental turns ons
      i have had it in my redz cover before and it got turned on
      not a good thing

      so when ever i have it in there i put the pin in

          I figured that part of the battery pack is shared between the X-Mag and E-Mag, so why go and make two separate pieces? I heard from a good source that they are using up old tops of the battery packs, before they start to make a "holeless" top for the X-Mag. Since I have a X-Mag, I gave my yellow pins to a buddy for his E-Mag.
