    Assault80 "Upgrade" (BWHAHAHA)

The powertube remains stationary, the bolt is moved forward by pneumatics and returned by a spring.

So here's the progression of major developments:
    NovaET (sucked hard )
    Mayhem (sucked moderately :o )
Assault80 (sucks hard , but can be upgraded to suck moderately )

mmhh on first thoughts it sounds like a mag's mode of operation... might want to read through Tom's patents again

Can't remember exactly what the mag patents cover in terms of operating principle.

there's a vid on the main site

I'm curious how fast it's really going -
being tall is good, except when you're the last one on your team and stuck behind the smallest bunker on the field.

            AGD Bolt....

After reading the post on PBnation, this seems more and more like the bolt in the MAG. Tom will you be looking into this? I wonder?

Sidekick Semi works the same way...nobody has mentioned that.

I doubt it runs like a mag. No need to get so defensive as soon as something looks like it 'might' resemble a mag.

And what the hell... in that thread they said the Flatline was not fast enough to recharge it?!?! LMAO

From stray bullets thread it seems that the Assault80 has some real potential as a decent marker.

I had a Nova 700 way back when and I thought they sucked. Badly.

                        1) The barrel was razor thin so misfeeds guaranteed chops. It had to be thin in order to manage the weight of an entire solid brass barrel slamming around the gun with every cycle.
                        2) It was very top-heavy so off-hand and awkward shooting positions were a chore. Working a tight bunker often meant working twice as hard.
                        3) The lack of a foregrip (even as an aftermarket option back then) made sure you were uncomfortable holding it (imagine having to grasp the barrel of your gun while shooting it).
                        4) Twelve inches of solid brass barrel kicking around inside the gun made for some hefty recoil when ripping out long strings.
                        5) The company went out of business as quickly as it came onto the scene. There was no time for an aftermarket to develop and that left a lot of Nova owners without even spare parts. PGI repaired Novas for a while and even then only grudgingly. You had to pay them for any minor repair because they didn't have replacement parts available for sale.

Also, Novas had a euro-grip with a non-standard bottom-line attachment so adding a drop-forward of any kind was out of the question.
