I agree with you 100%. The crowd ineraction with the teams ie: cheering them on, congratulating them after a game, etc...is good, but actually getting involved in the game and telling the players what to do and where the other players are at is a bad idea (you can't even do that on a regular walk on field let alone a tournament).Originally posted by Spaceman613
I think it would be more interesting without the entire crowd telling every players position and where hes looking. I know its to "get the crowd involved" but I think its just not a great thing. One or two , but not 10 guys telling every position and what they are doing.
I think it's ridiculous that they allow such interaction in a sport that they want to commercialize, It takes the competitiveness away from the sport not to mention all those teams consist of professional athletes that have experience playing under pressure. You don't see fans interacting with baseball, basketball, football and other athletes alike, because that would be unfair to the underdog and mentally it would minimize there confidence and performance, that's what team managers, coaches & backmen are for!
I Think Xball is great and I loved watching it, but that crowd and player communication during a game has to go!!!!! A coach on the sideline is understandable, but In one of the videos some guy is a couple of feet away from one of the players telling him what's going on and what to do. yes it "does get the crowd involved", but it also confuses the players. When a team loses a game whose to blame, themselves, there teammates or the crowd!?UPGRADE YOUR GREY MATTER 'CAUSE 1 DAY IT MAY MATTER!!!

One kid got confused when 3 different spectators were telling him 3 diferent places to shoot. He had a GREAT shot across the field, but didnt take it because the sidelines were telling him other places.
Another game, a "helper kept yelling at a player to "shoot the back right standup" he KEPT saying this for a while until the player turned and said "yes, i heard you SHUT UP"
I see players not lioking this when more crowds start yelling. But whos to say you cant tell them to shoot at empty bunkers.http://www.spaceman613.net

the crowds get too large it gets too loud and pretty soon you can't hear your own teammates
