    weight of micro and ule

I did a search and I didnt come up with anything so I'm gonna ask it.
Is the micromag body lighter or ule with omega rail lighter?
I'm thinking maybe the ule and omega but I've never seen them together so I dont know.

    thanks for the help,

just because im a nice guy...

The ULE body (Ultra Light Engineering) will be significantly lighter then the micromag body. As it is built out of light wieght aluiminum, and the micromag body is made of stainless steel, significantly heavier.

Now, dont quote me on this (im sure someone will just because i said that) but i believe the omega rail is also made of a lightwieght material so if your comparing stock micro (norm body and rail) then the ULE body and the omega rail will be lighter.

For future refrence only through one varible in at a time and youll get better results as there is no freehanding the question.

nah, the micro is made of aluminium otherwise you wouldent be able to anodize(sp?) it.

I think the ule body with a light weight rail will be lighter. Rogue's ULE AM/MM rails weigh like 3 oz. I think the ULEs weigh 3.9 oz. Pretty sure a Micro body is heavier that 7 oz. Lot more material to it.

another thing to conside is that the micro bodies dont use body rails, ULE bodies do!

yeah but there is a lot of space that could be milled out on the micromag, so the ule and omega might be lighter.

Has anyone ever measured the weight of these to before? I thought I saw one but couldnt find it.

it feels good to be right for once , however i wonder how much more milling you could do to a micromag body.

there is probably about 0.36 in. that can be milled off. Oh yes, and a word of advice. STAY AWAY FROM MICRO BODIES. The tolerances are crap, you can ask tunaman if you don't believe me.
