First day out with my Mag

    Hello all,
Today, I finally played with my Mag...

It went through some intense play.
So, should I just clean the barrel, and wipe down the body, or do I need to break it all down, and do some tedious mag cleaning?

    For the first time

Wipe off the bolt and spring put a few drops of oil there. Give your barrel a good wipe down and use a cue tip to wipe down where your barrel goes. Once you put it all back together, put a drop of oil in the trigger sear from the outside. that should do it for first time.

No way it wouldnt ruin it! =] its ok if you dont have it. But i strongly suggest you get some. www.888paintball.com sells Gold cup oil. Get the big jug of it intead of the little one. You will find that you use it up pretty quikly. Before you play next time you go out pballing, put about 4 drops of oil where your tank goes and screw on your tank. Fire about 20 shots and your good to go. This will oil all internal parts of the vavle and keep it in good condition. It will reduce leaks as well.

          Thank you.

I really had fun with my Mag today, just that my stupid mask kept fogging up.

You should try some no-fog spray and a wind fan or better yet, just get a new better mask. If you cant see them, you cant shoot them.

              No fog spray =
Kept putting it on, did not work

I think that I will just purchase a new mask.

              Excellent saying....

don't just run out and get a mask though. if you have the money go ahead but if you're looking to save, maybe think about just buying a new lens. but if you decide to get a new mask, they've got the jt spectra ize at paintballonline.com for 30 bucks. those things have a $120 msrp.

you didn't tell us how you played! did you have a good day in the field? like the gun? any questions or problems? maybe just comments?

                  bartleby,
This was my first time to play paintball in two years!
I had alot of fun, but the mask problem kind of ruined it for me

The gun performed flawlessly, except on some shots, the balls were going all directions... Had alot of fun out there.

God, I'm so jealous Arman. I bought a mag a week and a half ago and I can't use it yet. I can't stop touching it, lol. Do you like it?

                      Vforce

Ive heard that Vforce goggles are really good with antifog/have a good field of view, and theyre pretty cheap too. This is just my 2 pennies, but a Vforce is definately my next mask.

just a tip. hit your local hardware store and grab air tool oil. it works just a well as gold cup, it's cheaper, and easier to get.

as to the mask, $30 for a spectra is really good. I find the vforce is nice, but there is no thermal lenses for it so a fan is a must. (you have to make you own though, if you get a vforce I can tell you what I did to mine.) also if you do like the vforce and you want to get the same mask for less money hit walmart and see if they have any of the old BE maxvision 260's left, it's exactly the same as the vforce shield except without the visor, and $20 cheaper. My advice on masks is try everything you can on first then buy one, and live with what you have for a bit. also see if you can try a Ravin on, they are really slick, I'd get one but my glasses won't fit in it.

                              hmm

I also don't think that the fans would run as fast as they were rated to go, if run off of a 9v battery right? Then again you really dont need too much airflow. One thing about radioshack fans, they can be really noisy. Go to www.plycon.com They have fans rated by cfm and they even tell you the decible rating for them. I would think that the last thing you need is a noisy fan.
