automags have no range

Not really, but I Am compiling a book of sources and articles pertaining to the fact that range is all the same, backed with proof and evidence. I have some sources, but wanted to know if you guys can give me some exact links? I am giving it to my field owner to distribute to some of his team and friends to prove, the obvious. Thanks for any help.

I was told by a ref this past weekend that "Mags are great, but I need longer range when I play tournies" All I know is I was palying on a tourney field, in the compelte back position and hitting the back bunkers on the other side. How much further did he need to shoot? It still amazes me when logical people who have been playing this sport for so long make statements like this. The only reason why I was shooting as far as I might have was the paint was really small and I didn't have a small bore barrel. Other than that I seemed to be shooting as far as his shocker.

Or when companies who have been in the sport since the beginning say stuff like "The only thing we kept from the old shocker was the range and accuracy."

I'll never forget a few years ago a game I was playing in a tourney on a Survival NY field. I was laying in the "crack pipe" shooting at the diamond which was I'd say mid field here. After the game a gentlman said to me as he came forward. ' I have to shake the hand of the man who shot me through that tiny opening. '. I, to this day, believe it was the 12"AA barrel and RPS(I think RPS), paintcombo.

Thanks everyone who helped, and the stories are fun to. At least it wasnt a flame-a-thon, as I usually get a lot of people against me for whatever reason. I have about 6 sources now, but if you know more tell me. I am actually gonna make it into a nice little binder. When I am done with it, I will mail it to somebody else in need of a range lesson, and they can do the same. This little baby can make it all over america via AO. Woo.

I must confess, a few months ago just before a game someone commented how my 'mag had more range than his buddies cocker. I didn't have the heart to correct him. His buddy did not agree.

In the midst of a rec game I was going toe to toe with someone it turns out with a Impulse. After the game he kept commenting about my RTP. He was amazed that we had the same range.
Like that never happens can you imagine.
I didn't think too much of it till I got a surprise chrono just before the next game. Myself and my buddy ("Air" valve mag)were the only two from a group of thirty or so that got checked.
You gotta laugh. He must have thought I was running hot.
I was spot on where I wanted it. (5 below field speed)

Some urban paintball myths are not so easily broken. I've been instructing my younger brother in the fine art of paintball for years now,including all the myths and hype.However ,the last 3 times I played with the Cocker,I shot him off the break from like 100 yards away.He's now conviced that there's something about my Cocker that's "not right".No matter what I tell him, his minds made up.
