Why are they called such? Arent they actually BIGGER than regular bodies?

I always did wonder that too. i guess its becuase they have the vert adapter so you can hold it close you you when your brhind a bunker. and it comes with the small 8" barrel.

Called Minimag bodies since they are made for a marker called "minimag."

Ok, in that case why are they called minimags? They are bigger than regular mags.

doesnt the barrel go farther into the body not just at the edge......so when you measure with a barrel its actually shorter than a classic body with the same barrel? i dont know but thats what i assumed from pictures ive seen, never actually held a mini. i think their venting is ugly :o

Why?

Automag has ASA on bottom of grip frame usually.

Minimag has it a vertical ASA in front of grip.



Tank location is why.

yeah, the name made sense back when it came out, 'cause the automag had a back bottle ASA and 10" barrel. So the minimag with it's 8 " barrel and vert mounted bottle was really "mini". it was awesome. They ran pics on like the cover of APG with the minimag with a 4 oz. CO2... looked cool.
