The Butler Fairgrounds will host the IAO. It's north of Pittsburg. The Tech Conference is NOT at the fairgrounds.

Tom Kaye will be personally teaching the Tech Class on Tuesday, July 15th 2003 at the Amateur Open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. This will be in the Copeland Conference Room at AmeriNet Central which is a short drive from the Sheraton.

We know how to do things right here in Cali. Unlike you silly Pa people.

Yeah, but see, i have been to Pittsurg, CA...and let me tell ya, not much there...

Actually, I'll tell you a little story...

in the late 1800's (1890 I think it was) Pittsburgh, PA also did not have an H on the end. The US Post Office was requiring all spellings of 'burgh to drop the H. So for about 20 years Pittsburgh, PA was also spelled Pittsburg. In 1911 the people of Pittsburgh fought to get the spelling changed back to the original and the H was added back on. If you look at all the cities in the US with the 'burgh ending most are spelt 'burg, I only know of a hand full that still have the H.

              Sorry, way off topic

              Edit:

I just looked it up...yeah I was right about the date, but I love this part.

"Patriotic Pittsburghers will assist in educating the public in the correct spelling of the name of their city. The "h" is all important, and distinguishes the Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania from other towns of the same name in various parts of the country."
