    automag on CO2

most of the posts seem to talk about compressed air mags. I personally use CO2, and just run it through a palmer stabilizer reg. I was just wondering what other setups people use on their CO2 powered mags. Since CO2 is so popular with newbies, wouldn't it make sense to show them what works on a CO2 powered mag?

For the price of a palmer reg and a Co2 bottle you can get a fixed output HPA tank. Mags run so much better on HPA than CO2.

Before you start to flame........With the right setup you can get a mag to run just as well on CO2 but it is not cost effective these days with the inexpensive HPA tanks out there.

Mag w/ expansion chamber and anti-syphon tube in the tank

      or

Mag w/ expansion chamber and remote line

      or

Mag w/ remote and secondary reg

      or

Mag w/ expansion chamber & inline reg (like the palmer one beside the valve) and anti siphon tube in tank

      See? Lots of choices.

I'm fixing up my current mag for CO2 since i'm buying an Xvalve in the near future and make a totally new gun to run off Nitro. I like the ability to be able to switch back and forth even though i have a bulk CO2 and bulk Compressed air tank. I run an Anti siphon and a Sideline palmer. My 114 3k AA Armegedon can get a bit heavy at times so i like being able to go CO2 when i feel like it.

          Battlegroup,
the thing about the inexpensive hpa tanks is that the ones I have seen are small and only 3000 psi. I dont know how many shots you can get off of those tanks, but I dont think its much. Thats a problem for me cuz I play in the woods away from anyone who can refill an hpa tank, so I have a few CO2 tanks lying around. CO2 is more convient for me, and I guess I assumed for a lot of people, especially those who havent played much.

Ok then, get one of daysprings setups
Although personally id reccomend a male palmer stabilizer (goes in vertical ASA) and antisiphon

I second everything you said bleachit. Sure, I spent a total of $65 setting up my mag for CO2... Sideline stabilizer and an anti-syphen tube. I could have just gotten a 47/3k tank instead, but driving 30 miles to fill up and get under 500 shots doesnt sound like fun... CO2 is just alot more convienient.

I'm in the process of writing a CO2 FAQ for the mags since this question pops up here every other day. Unless someone beats me to it

                Falconguy016,
I do have a male palmer, minus the antisiphon tank. I think it works beautifully. I was just curious what others had on their guns.
