My Xmag Report....

I havent actually played any games with it, but I did paint tests.


Paint Test 1 - 500 rounds of DraXxuS (Left over, with a broken ball in the bag for about 1 1/2 months)

Shot great, no breaks.


Paint Test 2 - 500 rounds of proball left over from oklahoma d-day 2002

Shot great, no breaks.


Paint Test 3 - 500 rounds of 'pot luck' (dented messed up PMI that comes in a single bag holding 2000, its the cheapest stuff ever) It had also been sitting in a Texas garage for about a month. Went we filled my hopper, I found that the paint was squishy....


It shot just as good, except one bloaded ball that got stuck in my breech.


OMG I LOVE THIS GUN!!!!!


Anyone who is doubting the wait on their Xmags...

It is damn well worth it!!!

Go get your Pipe from Erick. It is a little loud, but it shoots so nicely!

Imagine your pretty X-Mag with a pretty Pipe...

Just got my Xmag as well.
After a bit of time & advice on setting up the trigger (thanks, Jay), its rolling sweetly.
Didn't do a paint test, but played with a case of diablo & RP advantage. Used a Pipe & dye stainless barrel.
Zero breaks all day. Very fast & very accurate with both barrels. Only problem is with a light barrel (pipes are VERY light), the gun tends to travel a lot. Shooting was much more stable with the Dye. Not sure I'm too thrilled with this as I just dropped 200 on the pipe. I'll have to continue to play with it and see how it works out.
But, overall, I love it. Its great to never have to worry about breaking paint in the breech ever again! and the speed! Its not matrix speed, but very acceptable. My ROF has doubled (from a stock ule Xvalve mag).

Wonder if there are any plans to remove the 20bps cap from the software (v2.4)? This would be nice and speed the gun up considerably (or at least bump it to 24 which I believe is the top feed capacity of the HALO)
. I know about the morlock board but I'm not too keen on trying to program it for the mag.
Also, the Timer on the 2.4 software seems largely useless as there is no audible warning. Maybe if it stayed onscreen all the time, but it dissappears aftr a short time. Looks like i'll have to stay with the ole timer on the headband for now. Also wish it would allow programming of seconds and down to 2 minutes. Some 3man games are less than 5 mins.

OMG! My X-Mag broke a ball today! Okay, so it was a barrel break and the first one in over 9000 shots but darn was I upset. Maybe I should start a "I hate you crappy AGD" post or something

I'm considering buying a Pipe kit for my Xmag or a CP kit. Was the weight of the SS back on the DYE really that helpful with dealing with kick?

I thought Emag/Xmag's triggers were the main feature. I thought that is what the Emag was known for..the inredible, magnetic trigger pull..

Guess not anymore with the matrices and intimidators.

BTW, the Dye Ultralites work really well if you aren't getting a barrel kit.

Actually I have the 2.1 software in my xmag, and it tops out at 24 bps!!! My buddy Pito just got his X-mag back from the shop and they put 2.4 software in it and it tops out at 20 bps, and this latest batch has the same software as his.
