    Question about UPS and packages

I recently shipped two items to two different people in canada, A freak barrel, and my Angel. The first buyer recieved the freak and was forced to pay 60$ to get itdue to unannounced brokerage fee. The second buyer recieved the angel and was forced to pay 250$ to get it due to more unannounced brokerage fees.

First a question: I'm going to recieve a gun from a seller in canada, am i going to have to pay these fees? Has anybody in the US had to pay this?

    thx

That's why you ship USPS. They have an agreement with the canadian postal service to not bone people on shipping.

Either way, If i was them I just would have refused the packages. I assume those were canadian dollars right? Not as bad but still pretty horrible.

I always ship USPS mail when I'm shipping internationally, i havent had a problem...until now . Sold some emag parts to an AOer in the UK and it's been about 3 weeks i think, getting very worried, eek.

here's some help... don't sell to foreigners... when sending... you always sent as paintball marker or etc... never gun etc...

then you ship it as a gift.. then the canadian guys don't have to pay the bill.......

      i thought everyone knew

I have received things from Canadians and have never had to pay any fees. I have however shipped to Canadians many times, and they always have to pay something for it, be it taxes, brokerage fees, etc.

        And I always use USPS.

Can work the other way IE against the purchase. I recently tried to order a couple of barrels, not a fortune $99.98 but the shipping to me was $79.99....didn't go ahead with the order I may have had more to pay when the barrels had arrived if the package was incorrectly (for me that is) marked but that part I don't know as it didn't get that far. Still even with differing currencys to be charged $79.99 for a package I could send to the US for about a 1/4 that cost someone is in rip-off mode. It annoys me that within reason we all can find the prices for shipping as an individual and then companies, who will get a price break due to volume use, try and charge extra for the "privilege" of shipping you something.

I just traded with a guy in Canada, they want have to pay any fees if when you feel out the customs form mark it as a gift. Then when the usps lady ask for insurance say no its just a gift. That simple :)
