the thing that kinda get me i dont know if anyone thought of this but once the gun shot off the barrel plug it would of broke the ball in the barrel so then it would of kept choping because we all know that spyders or basicly any gun doesnt clean its self after something like that. but i might be way over thinking

to me that doesnt make a bit of sense. Just because there is a barrel break, why would the gun keep chopping?

Of course I have chopped a ball. If you break a ball in the barrel it is not the same as chopping.

Of course not. You have to CLEAN the barrel. It will still shoot, just not real accurately. This gun that went off wasnt in sniper mode, it was likely very close up to its target.

But the gun still shoots right? So why would chopping make it iny less of a harmfull situation? I realy dont see what possable barrel breaks has to do with the danger for a gun shooting full-auto in a group of people without maskes

Is full-auto even "legal" on fields anymore? It was my understanding that since 2001, only the NPPL/APL will provide field risk insurance, and the insurance policies explicitly state (as do all "formal" rules produced by sanctioning bodies governing the sport) that no marker is permitted to fire more than one ball per trigger pull.

                        *edit*

I found this on the APL web site @ http://www.paintball-apl.com/Online%20Forms.asp regarding requirements to maintain insurance and certification:

                        23) PUMP OR SEMI-AUTO MARKERS ONLY ALLOWED ON APL FIELDS
A semi-auto marker is a marker that fires only 1 shot per trigger pull. Fully automatic, burst, or zip mode markers must be locked in the semi-auto position.

                        *end edit*

This isn't a case that field owners have collectively decided to "ban" full-auto. It's that they'd lose their risk insurance if they permitted it on the property.

I'd really like to hear the responses of any field owners on this forum. And please correct me if there are still any other insurance carriers for paintball and other "risk" sports.

Were you playing at a "paintball" field or at a "I own all this wooded property so I'll charge these p-ballers $10 a day rent to use it" field?

omg... the e-99 is capabe of 13bps on full auto, trust me, i had one a while ago, and my friend has it now

even in semi auto, i have hit 13bps on numerous occasions, and outshot both my ricochet AK, and 12v x-board revvy quite frequently

none of thoes times did i ever use full auto

the only time that i switched it to full auto was to show off in my friends backyard on a refrigerator box

also... next time... try using a barrel sock and turning the gun OFF

Wow, when I read this, I thought typical response from a 12 year old, until I saw you were 27. Maybe I'm just missing the cool of being able to empty a hopper by only pulling the trigger once. Or maybe the cool part was hosing down a couple of people in the dead zone by handing a full auto gun to someone who has never played before, and didn't know how to use the gun properly. If the safety is a piece of garbage, turn the gun off between games. Lets face it, there is no need for full auto, and every field I have ever been to bans it. The reason it is on the gun is to draw newbies to buy the gun, plain and simple.

Yeah, if you don't get the appeal of full auto weapons (paintball and real guns) then stop wearing a cup, cause it's too late.

But for the rest of it, yeah the newb totally screwed the pooch on the deal. It wsa extremely careless and very dangereous.

Also, I checked the barrel afterwars and it looks like the plug came out basically without a fight (which kind of irked me). There didn't appear to be any breakage inside the gun. That really annoyed me, since I've chopped about a million times using it.

And paintball depot in NJ does not ban plugs.
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger
