to keep or not to keep

well i started to play paintball again and i am really into it, i play 2-3 times a week and i am not sure whether to keep my minimag with a dye gas thru frontgrip, a dropfoward and nitrogen and still stock barrel or upgrade to a new marker such as an impulse or something else. if i keep my stock gun i will put on a xvalve and intelliframe aswell as a new barrel. so my question is to keep the mag and hook it up or just upgrade to a new gun. what i want is accuracy and distance, can a mag achive it and be on the same level as a cocker or other high class guns?
thanks for your input and comments.

Now, I dont shoot a mag, but derr, they can achieve it just like any other gun. Distance? Just a little pointer, all guns shoot just as far. You keep that in mind when selecting your next marker Personally, if you have a black body, I say hook it up. IF you have a grey one, just get a new gun. Dont question my reasoning!

High class guns? BABY YA GOT ONE.

Chrome body eh? Intelliframe the marker, get an X, get a good tank, and ULE body and youll be ripping. You basically already have a very nice setup, you dont even need the ULE body if ya dont mind the wait or looks...but seriously, that mag with an X will be just as consistent as any other marker out there, and way more reliable. And like the others said, range is all the same at velocity, and a mags paint to barrel match accuracy will take on any marker with the same thats just the way it works.

If you think your gonna stay in for a long time or if you plan on doing some tourny play you could probably move on up. And when i say move on up i mean E-mag or X-mag!

Dont buy a freak. I spent 200 bucks, and i really dont enjoy it. I havent seen a benefit. all my friends have Dye barrels on their mags, and shoot just as good, but for 1/3 the price. I guess on some bad balls, I can fit mine a little better, and on small paint as well, but the price for all that isnt worth it at all. Do you have a warp?

I will have to disagree with you there. If your gonna play tournies a freak system is almost a must. Generally you have to buy the fields paint to use in the tourny and not all fields use the same bore size paint.

However, if its strictly rec ball then just about anything decent will do.

I play in tourney's, and the freak doesnt benefit all that much. I've tested the accuracy versus the stock emag barrel, and found them to be really close. I only used 6 different kind of paint, and i only shot about 200 paintballs of each, but it was enough proof for me. I do like the freak because of the length compared to the stock barrel, but thats all. It also seems really weak, like if I fall on it, it'll just snap off. Also, the workmanship in the barrel seems poor, where small things like the label being off center. The edge kit might be the way to go if someone would buy one already and tell me how they work..

                          Buy a new gun ...

If you are going to buy an x-valve, intelliframe , then go ahead and buy a ULE body , or a custom milled sluggo-body . This setup will stay with any electro on the market, without using batteries and is usually just as light , half as tall.

Then sell your minimag to pay for this
