Ok, does it really cost $6.17 to ship me two screws?

Went to order 2 grip frame screws from the store, and shipping is coming up as $6.17. Anyone else gotten small items from the store? Is there a way to just get the screws tossed in an envelope and sent my way?

    Thanks,

as i recall, you can call AGD up, and ask for them to be shipped via either regular mail or priority mail. Now i'm not 100% sure about this, but I remember reading about it in earlier posts. It's worht a try.

They'll probaly put it in a box and ship it, that's how they're "setup".

I work for a computer company and I had to ship this guy 4 rubber feet and 4 screws for his laptop.. the screw and rubber feet combo cost $8.95, yes.. $8.95 for 4 rubber feet and screws..

        To ship it? $19.99 :)

After taxes it was around $30. this guy was pissed.. I agreed with him and told him I was sorry but there was nothin' I could do... he went ahead and got it, lol.

          Well..

I certainly understand that there's going to be cost associated with just processing the order, as well as my credit card taking it's cut, and that places like AGD are not necessarily set up to process small orders differently....

But it'd be nice. Otherwise I'll just scavenge up here some more.

I'll give 'em a call on Monday. Or maybe if I do actually end up going out to IAO I'll get it taken care of there.

          Thanks,

Did you read the two posts before yours?

They do not have to ship things as the online shopping cart is set up.... you just call them up and they ship it another way.

i had to purchase a bolt for my vert adapter. so i asked a teammate if he needed anything got his stuff with my bolt and split the cost of shipping. got a few things making it more reasonable to spend 6 bucks on shipping.

Actually, no. Because when I replied to this thread there were no replies yet. My post was a little more than one sentence.

I have had that happen..... what is worse is when you make a really long post and by the time you post it 10 people have posted.

depending on the type of grip frame the screws are either 6-32x 1/4 or 8-32x 3/8. If we're talking about bottom line screws then they are 10-32x 3/4 (or longer depending on what you are ataching to the frame).

go to a home depot (or similar store) with a screw of the same size, or with the grip frame and you'll easly find a replacement for much cheaper than in any paintball store.

When I need small parts I just call AGD. I have had a reg pin and rail bushing sent thru the regular mail to me. It took about a week for them to send it..... but it was cheaper than buying the parts thru the online store.
