Can i Run co2 with an Automag Need answer pretty fast

I orderd a 68 classic automag and it should be on its way. From what ive heard the guns dont work to well on co2 but ive been hearing diffrent things everywhere. I just need to know if I should go get n2 or if I can just run it off my co2 tank Im gonna hope for some fast responses because tomarrow im going to go get the new tank if no one tells me I dont need to. Thanks

You have to equip your mag if you want it to run off c02.
In the long run, and in the short run, just get air.

Air has a consistant, ~800 psi output, where as c02 can be anywhere from 0 to 2000 psi
Air is easier on your valve and seals
Air is the only thing that can power an xvalve/rt valve, which you may want later
Air is better than c02, I mean, think about it, you would die if you breathe c02, your body actually gets RID of c02, why would you want that in your gun

        There are many ways
        But best are combinations

        Palmer Stabilizer (<- best)
Expansion chamber (<- not so expensive as stab)
Anti Siphon (pretty much a must)

        >OR<

Remote it (mix that with stab or expansion for more anti-freezing, but NOT ANTI SIPHON)

Even so, you still wont have your consistancy (a must for consistant velocity) and it will be rough on the valve

And ANOTHER thing :) These are all preventory measures, but not fool proof! Unlike air which cant freeze the valve and will work the same at almost any temperatures :)

Would doing these things cost less than buying a nitro tank? And The Automag doesnt seam to have a way to hook up a expansion chamber although i have seen them on the gun is it hard to get one for the 68automag?

No it would not cost more, although you wouldnt be getting the largest n2 tank ill admit, but it would not cost more to buy a n2 tank. Id reccomend you get a nice one though

To hook up expansion you need to buy a vertical air source adaptor for the mag (then you could put whatever you want, foregrip, expansion, stab, c02 tank... lol)

You can bypass that too but its a dumb way, ill tel lyou if you want :)

Yes, if you wanted an expansion chamber, you would have to remove it. Then you would have to buy an vertical adaptor, put in an expansion, hose from VA to valve, and hose from expansion to tank. You would need to anti siphon your tank

Im telling you, air is so much better :) You wouldnt have to change anything on the mag, and ive already told you all the advantaged of air already... :)

BTW is anyone else reading this thread besides me?

(Buy an intelliframe as soon as you can)

Where do u think would be the best place to buy on ebay paintball web...... there is a store close by to me www.forestandfield.com the chiepest tank they have is a pure energy 48/3000 for $80. That size would probly get me about half as much as my 20 co22 but o well i can fill for free at a field like 10 minuets from my house

Thats the normal price for a 48/3000
Honestly you should try your absolute best to save for a better tank, but if thats what you can do then you have to live with it until later :) My first tank was a 48/3000 though, heavy as hell

That gets around 1000 shots right
And it would cost about 20 bucks less than what the gun cost
