they are powered by baloons now.

but really, i think you should go with a viking, they are super fast, super reliable, and not to mention totally sweet. (if you can afford a FF trix or something like that for all means go for it)

vikings simply rock. They have the hardest anno on any paintball gun. (That means your gun wont ever get scratched) and they are also supper efficient. My friend has one without the WAS board and it is really really nice. Go to darkviking.com and check that out.

17 years of experience, over 100 markers owned and sold, and I must agree with just about everyone else here...

The Viking is the best marker for the money, hands down.

AKA service is on par with AGD/PPS/CCI, and they pretty much wrote the book on low pressure operation.

If you've got the $$$, pick up a Featherlite or Immortal milled Viking. You won't be disappointed.

                Angel Speeeeeeeeeeed!

Mine should be here next week

Why not get an electro from the people that brought the first electro to market?

I have never shot a Viking, but damn... A LOT of people recomend them.

if I were to get any Viking, get a Dark Viking: www.darkviking.com

Have you shot a speed? They really arnt that different from the 2 leds and 1 lcd I have owned. I am looking for something uber eff.

Guys I am not a big cocker fan either. I just have a hard time spending 1k+ on a gun that is simply a retro fit.

                  Thanks for all the sugestions!

i had my angel speed for 1 week and sold it. it is different internally than my other angels but it still shot the same and had the same sound and everything. sensi also sucked for me and i had 2 sensors go defective on me and quit picking up on paintballs. also FSDO was there even after 2 full 4 hour charges due to the low battery voltage on the speed. it cant even touch the viking. i sold my speed for a viking after i shot a viking.

they are AMAZING guns and its only a matter of time til people start to catch on. they are FAAAASSSSSSSST. WAS equalizer board equipped means amazing speed. they can also physically cycle faster than timmys(just so u know how fast these things are). they come predrilled for eyes so for 20 bucks for eyes u get a 2 sided break beam eye system which is the best it gets. they are also insanely reliable for you quality lovin people out there. they are up there with AGD and WDP when it comes to quality and reliability. type 3 anno is the thickest stuff out there. VERY hard to scratch. they are super air efficient. 2000 shots on a 68/4500. now onto how they shoot they shoot sooo smooth and quiet. the viking i shot was as quiet and smooth as a trix. it was simply amazing. it kicked alot less than any impy or angel i have ever shot. the feel it gives off while shooting it just makes you think of the word SMOOTH. considering all that will cost you 745-820(non milled or half milled) and no upgrades are required, id have to say its the best paintball gun on the planet AND it give you the best bang for your buck.

CP isnt there some kind of data that needs to be trnasfered to the gun via serial cable? I thought it only worked on non NT comps?

You can do firmware upgrades via the Equalink cable. I've already downloaded the software on to my computer just to play with it; works fine on my XP equipped machine. On the WAS website they do list a few VB files that may need to be downloaded to avoid any issue with errors when running the software but it's no different than any software.
The Equalink does use a serial/RS-232 interface which most computers should still have and Mr. Drew also noted that for those with only USB ports you can get a Serial-to-USB converted and that should solve your problem.

Actually the Equalink is for the WAS equipped Vikings..i wasn't referring to the older AKA boards. Those aren't even worth discussing as far as upgrades.
