    Looking for someone to polish mainbody

    I'm looking to get my minimag body polished. So if anyone here does this please pm or email me at [email protected] with details. I'm looking to get a mirror shine like in these images below. Also if you have any pictures of your work please post them.

          You can hand polish them, but you won't get the finish that you would on the factory body. Especially around the feed tube. The only way that I know of where you can get a polish like that is through electropolishing. Thats out of my area. Use the search engine on the board, you'll find the "how to's" of polishing bodies.

                  You can polish it yourself and it will definitevely look good. I polished my micromag just like in doc's pic. Heres a pic of it compared to my clear anoed angel. You can barely se the diference between the nickle inteli and the body.

                              I would like to do it, but I really don't have the time. Nor do I have access to a buffering wheel. I guess I'll just sell it and get a factory one.

                                      You don't have to buff the body if you don't have access to the hardware. Instead, try continuing to sand with 1500 grit and 2000 grit paper, then polish with 3M Rubbing Compound followed by Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. You can get all this stuff at an automotive store for about 10 bucks.

                                      It took me about two hours to complete the body of my Mini, and three hours of admiring my handywork before I could put the body away. I achieved a perfect match against the valve and saved over $100 against buying a new body.
