    Smart Parts Drop Forward

Has anyone tried the Smart Parts Drop Forward?

Neither the picture or written description are very - er ... descriptive.

Is it dovetail, two hole bottomline, or both? And what are the length and drop dimensions?

    Thanks

I have the old style SP drop (same but without logo or side slots). It is a straight 2-hole bottomline, NO dovetail. It is about 4 1/2" long and 1 1/2" tall. I wouldn't suggest using it with a straight ASA - I tried and the gauge on my PE 68/3k hits the top, so it cannot be screwed in fully. Angled ASA would be the way to go with one of these.

To give you an idea of size, here it is on my old, hideous minicocker:
"I would like nothing more than to walk around
wearing a shirt with a giant arrow pointing
downwards, but I have this strange feeling
that most people would take it as some kind
of sexual suggestion rather than an attempt
    to infer one's final destination."
