Is AO a bad thing for AGD?

Is OA a bad thing for AGD?

Why do I ask this? look at alot of the posts

why isn't this out , why is it taking so long for this to be produced?...

what we have here is a window from our living room that we can look through and see the AGD products being developed and produced, I know of no other paintball company that lets this happen... Do you think that all the other companys just have an idea for a new marker, snap their fingers and have a warehouse full of them?...it doesn't happen, you just don't get to see all the work that goes into making a quality product. And I don't blame Tom for not rushing the Xmags to market, they are a pile of work to build and I am sure that if he were to relese them with bugs and beta test on the customers (like smart parts did with the first batch of impulses)it would do way more harm than good (original superbolt), plus I imagine making a marker so radicly different from what they are used to making is a HUGE risk.... so please bare with them and you will not be let down.

maybe it would have been better if AGD kept their products out of the lime light in here until they were ready for market because face it, if you could have bought an Xmag first time you saw it this would have been the year of the mag.

I think its great for Tom and AGD.

What brings this place down are some of the members constant whinin' about stuff that is out of thier control. Plus I dont want the mag to become the "must have" gun. I like our small community, if you dont like a mag doesnt bother me, then again I like all 'guns.

Infact I think Tom would be alot more open about future products if AO was less a PITA about products that didnt make it to market. I wonder how long the lvlx was being worked on before its release?

well its true that almost every AOer complains bout the wait on this the wait on that, i have even done it.Pretty much everyone that has fired an automag had liked it and truly dont mind the wait. yea we complain bout this and that and how things are never available but lets face it all of us are prolly still shotting a mag. i truly dont mind tom giving us a look into his prtot-lab.it gives us poor pballer a time to scrape up the money to buy that product hes announcing.i also think that AO helps tom from floping. yes we did push him for the roller trigger and no one bought it.it happens in business you cant expext everything to be just winnings. check out the ule bodies, tom asked us about what design he should you and how should they look. we helped and these things sold out in the first week.so all this to say that i think if it wasnt for the AO family tom would have prolly been out of business.

      Thats just my 2 cents.

I think Tom would be better off if he didn't let us know all the details. More like with the level 10 announcement. He is (hopefully) just not like that. He knows that a lot of us want to know what is going on. He likes letting us know. The current complaint is about the ULE warp bodies. Well, does ANYONE else make an aluminum warp body for ANY marker? And it's not like there aren't other options. You are not "stuck".

Tom is doing us a favor by letting us know what is going on. And without "spinning" it. Just the honest facts. Not everyone appreciates it. I for one hope Tom doesn't wise up.

I am reminded of a popular 80's show theme song...

"you take the good you take the bad and what do you have? The facts of life.. the facts of life!"

AO gives good info, it also gives BAD info. AO is a tool in the R&D process of AGD, it shouldn't be the ONLY resource, but it is helpful.

If Tom learns to sift through the chafe to glean the nuggets he can get something from this site. But then again this is a sort of Micro environment of thought. It's all good if its taken the right way.

AO is good for AGD in the main way in that it helps to spread knowledge and gives its fanatics some place to come and share. It may not be right all the time in what the majority thinks they want. But somewhere in here is the good stuff. You just have to hunt for it.

It builds a certain comunity spirit that doesn't realy exist in many other markers users. A small company with a small but loyal following gains comfort from being together. I think overall its a good thing for AGD. And I might add that AGD has been a good thing for AO.

That's what I said, but you forgot the cheesy 80's theme song.

How did the theme song from Silver Spoons go?
