Over 4th of July weekend I was in Santa Cruz, CA and on Saturday I decided to give surfing a try (hell, I've lived in california for 21 years and never tried it before so I figured I had better give it a try sometime). Anyway I rented a board and a wetsuit and hit the beach. Well let me tell you what a crappy experience it was. Obviously I didn't know what I was doing because it was my first time, and everybody out there just gave me hell. I got yelled at by a girl who almost ran me over, some guy rolled his eyes and huffed and puffed at me when I got in his way while he was trying to hit a wave, etc, etc. Basically my surfing experience was ruined by a bunch of rude people who thought they were gods gift to the ocean. My point is I'm glad no one ever did that kind of crap to me when I first started playing paintball because I would probably never have played again. After the first game of paintball I ever played I went out and bought a gun. If the surfers out there had been nice and helpful I probably would have ended up buying a surfboard one day, but what happend out there totally pissed me off and I really don't want to be associated with a bunch of selfish cocks. Man I would love to get some of those *POOF* (with your post count you know better!) on a paintball field and just lay it on 'em. Anyway thanks to AO and the rest of the paintball community for being cool.
