Why should I NOT get a Flatline

I'm interested in a 68/4500 flatline for my Mag. It's currently setup as:

    Black ULE
    12" Freak
    Standard Rail
    X-Valve - Lv10
    iFrame
    PMI 68/3000 Pre-set tank
    and a gas through grip.

If I brought my gun to a keg party, it would easily win the beer bong contest, because this thing sucks down air like crazy.

I want to get a tank that will last, and give me several games worth of air. It's a long term investment. Are there really any draw-backs? Would running the line straight from the tank to the valve improve effeciency? Erf, this is borderline tech/pb talk..

Any info or experiences would be cool to hear...

i love my flatline very few complaints....actually only
one that im sure everyone with a flatline has.
AGD still isnt selling the regseats yet so if you ruin one your tank is useless.

they said they had some prototypes and where testing them but havent heard anything yet.

so really i dont have any problems with my flatline unless it breaks

I've heard many bad stories about people sending in their flatlines to be fixed and they still have issues after being returned (I won't devulge sources).
      The regseat issue.
You have to swap out spring packs to run lower pressures.

I Still believe that i'm breaking in my Lv10, i've shot 2 cases through it, and have had to make a few adjustments here and there, I'd expect it to be wasting air a bit. Having it useless after about 400 shots is a bit dissapointing though. I'll get a better account of how much i'm actually shooting per fill this weekend.

I just figure if i'm going to lay down the money for a new 68/4500 I might as well get one of the best.

[grin] i'm not planning on sitting out long enough to play Tetris on an Angel AIR system heh.

Well I don't follow your title as the subject progresses but I will give you my personal opinion....

I use flatlines and have very little trouble with them. Had one not want to shut off at the on off valve but thats got nothing to do with the Reg Seats. Not had much trouble with those. A few have. Mostly in the early 4500 reg seats.

The availability sucks and so does the recent availability of 4500 reg seats. There was a batch recently sent out from the new supplier but I not heard how they are doing in the field.

If you want volume definately look at the 88 Stubbie. Great size. Unfortunately hard to get as well.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

I have a crappy 68/3000 (not that the size is bad, the tank is just old) on my ReTro Minimag, and I run the input pressure at about 650-675psi, but I still get 1000 shots with absolutely no drop off from one fill. That doesn't even include the 50 or so dry fires I take oiling the gun before I play a day of paintball. I usually oil my gun (a few drops in the air inlet, and a few in the on/off assembly) everytime I get my tank filled. I guess what I am getting at is...you must definately have something messed up about your gun. I'd try a bigger carrier, and a smaller main spring (maybe cut like a centimeter off yours), and I think you should at least be able to get like 900 or so on a 68/3000.

Right now my carrier is pretty loose, occasionaly I can hear a faint leak, but thats kinda rare, I use the middle spring most often, though I've had problems with it not firing because of that, hmph. maybe I'll break out the clippers.

Worst case scenario, i'd cut the long spring, which I know is too long heh.

I use 2 nitro tanks and thats it. Conquest and Flatline. The only thing I dont like about my flatline is that it doesnt degass the line like my quest does.

although I wish they made a hp conquest.

Who makes the conquest. I would love a tank that could degass the lines (non-screw in types). That is what pisses me off about my Angel AIR

Conquest is out of the question due to it's low-pressureness.

I really liked my 3k Flatline and the Hyperflow tanks. But it isn't going to do a thing for efficiency. Something is seriously wrong if you are getting only 400 shots from a 68 3k. I would suspect you have a leak in one of the lines somewhere.
