    Manufacturers -> Brittle Paint?

    Hey all.

    After Reading Tom's Tech Tip, I got to thinking.

    Rec-Ball is the Heart and Soul of Paintball, and the large majority of rec-paintball players use lower-end Guns, such as Spyders, Pirhannas, M98's, Pro-Lites, etc... If you were to compare the number of electro's and 'cockers, per say, to Spyders and M98's, the blowbacks would Dwarf the higher end guns.

    Now, The manufacturers of paintballs are comming out with paint that has more brittle shells because TOURNY players want it/need it/prefer it, whatever.

    But... wouldn't it be in the best interest of the Paintball Manufacturers to have paint that works better in Lower-End 'guns, therefore targeting more Rec-Players?

    It just seems that the manufacturers are paying more attention to the people who are less important to the game.

    I don't know if this is so. Seems like every new paint that comes out has one or two thick shelled varieties and one tourney level. Field paint is often a special blend.

    The stuff that will get the hype and talk is the tourney paint.
