to trade or not to trade

    ok here's the deal
i just bought a brand new 68 classic mag. i go to a paintball shop and the guy there says that he will trade me a used minimag with a retro valve for my gun and an extra $200. what should i do. is the minimag actually any better than the classic mag. and also i could get a brand new retro valve for my gun if i kept it for $220 so should i get...

$500- brand new classic mag w/ retro valve or...
$480- used minimag with retro valve, ule body, and double trigger

Please help me make the right choice!!!

how used is it, if you can try it out. do so. if you dont mind having a non ule body and a silly single stock trigger you could get not only a retro vavle but a brand new X-valve w/a new level 10 kit already installed. i think you should go w/that. unless you'd rather have a little heavier gun but what is probobally more comfortable. it depends on if the mini works and if you're willing to sacrifice that mini's comfort w/the grips and 2x trigger for a lighter x-valve that wont chop due to its x valve.

There is no difference mechanically between a minimag and a automag 68. If you are thinking of a ULE body in the future than you are changing the only part that makes them different. In my opinion you can trade that valve in on an X-valve from AGD for $225 and get level ten at the same time (as well as the "sexier" x valve - there is no difference in the RT valve and X valve except the X valve is lighter and includes level 10). The only advantage that minimag has over your gun is the RT valve (which I don't think is worth $200). However, if you prefer the looks of the minimag then that brings your preference into play - I myself own a minimag because I like the looks.
