Shatnerball 2 : Some pre-reg info you'll need to know

Well, it's getting close to that time again. So, I'd like to take a few moments to post this around. Feel free to pass it along to everyone you know. I'm posting this around as a favor to JJ, who I talked to a day or so ago. Basically, I'm tryign to help him avoid a registration "log jam".

SPPLAT Attack 2 (Or, as it's sometimes known, "Shatnerball 2, the Wrath of Tom"), is coming up. Aug 29-31 at EMR paintball park in PA. (http://www.emrpaintball.com) If you want to go, and havent' signed up yet, do it soon!!!

If you want to get in on SPPLAT attack 2, now is the time. The 25th of Aug. is the cut-off for online registration. IF YOU WANT A JERSEY, you'll have to pre-register by Aug 11th. Theyr'e doign it this way to have enough time to get enough jereys for everyone.

The best place to get in on it is http://www.spplat.com and register online.

There will be four teams this year, Tom Kaye's Cyborgs, Mancow's Posse, Shatner's Cavalry, and the raiders who has no general as of this moment. (Soon to be announced, however!)

On a personal note, I'll be covering the event for Paintball Games International again. This year, however, I'll be sticking to ONE team. I haven't yet decided who's (I'm still angling for that 4th General slot... But I know my chances are similar to the metaphrocal snowball in metaphorical heck....) but I'm thinking of defending the honor of Mr. Shatner. From all accounts, he was "amused" by the leopard spots. I'm open to opinions and debats to let myself get peppered by Mr. Shatner or not.

But, back to focus, if you want to go, register now!

I so want to go, but if I do choose to. I'll be homeless for an entire week. I get evicted on August 24th.. and the game isnt until the following weekend. I was driving back out West, but the game is out East.. gah. it's soo worth it. but it'd be a crazy situation.

Thats for three days of play and a Jersey. If you write Blue he will give you a bunkhouse or a Campsite for $4 you can get a shower at a nearby campground. AS long as sites are available.

Paint is $60 a case. Proceeds goto Charity of Shatners choice.

I would like to see a raffle for the member of the 7 whos daughter is ill.

I belive there will be prizes, Not sure now. I thought I heard they were giving away an Illusion.

I did an e-mail interview with Diane McKinnon for a PGI article about scenario games, and I asked her about Joker's daughter.

          From Diane Howe McKinnon
Kayleigh Wilkes had a kidney removed in April. She has begun chemotherapy for the treatment of Wilms Disease. We got to meet Kayleigh and her mother, brother, grandmother and aunt in May. Her father was given the sheers to shave Pacman's head after the players met his goal of $10,000 in 8 days. She is a bright, lovely child and very much loved by her entire family. The paintball industry and scenario players have raised over $12,800 for the Wilkes family to help offset the expense of her treatments. MXS will continue to solicit the industry for product to auction and raffle at our events.
But I'm with you, mi amigo. I wonder how we could organise that.

If there is a pump tourney, and anyone wants to put a team together, you can count me in!

Will the Assimilators and GPEA reunite? or maybe combine?

You need a roll of double raffle tickets, 3 for $3.

Id buy 3 for a Spyder Electro Grip or an Electro Spyder but alot of people dont like spyders.

If we post different places, maybe would could get someone to donate a (Mini mag)spyder from Kingman or something. (Than set up a table and have someone, 2 or 3 people together at all times to watch the money) to volounteer to sell raffle tickets.

Raffle tickets you just rip them in half and put half in a jar. They come in paired numbers.

Or printed tickets which are more and you print their name and put it in and keep the stub.

Star_Base_CGI: Where'd you hear about the pump tournament? I can't find anything about it on any of the official pages.

Hmm I double checked and maybe I misread or read last years thing. The stuff I thought I read about the pump game is no longer there.

Bah, I've been signed up as Cyborg for a couple months now! But thanks for the heads up. I'm sure many AO-ers are in definite need to read this.

There's "open play" leading up to the event, which is cool. But no pump tourney.

                            Offically.

Bring a pump gun, we'll take over a field by force and nada a precursor to theCastle 16! HAHA!!!

from the judge in the WDP v Sp case.... " i find it significant that aside from a somewhat limited notebook produced by gaston, the four named inventors offer NO documentation of there work or there contributions to the conception or reduction to practice of the claimed invention"
