they told me that they only keep them around to show people what kind of regs are traded for crossfire regs.
it sounds like they have a buttload so swipin 2-3 flatlines wouldn't hurt them i dont think

They don't trade in as many as you think. They've been toting around that same binful for two years or more now.
There's some debate on the way they supposedly "test" the regs to "prove" the Crossfire flows better, and there's definitely some debate on if that flow is even needed.
IE, if the Flatline can keep up with a tuned X-Mag without any shootdown, would a slightly better recharge on the Crossfire really help? or be worth losing the adjustability, shutoff knob and better cradle mounting?
And I [/b]KNOW[/b] the Crossfire won't outflow the Max Flow at Shocker pressures and volumes.
It's marketing, pure and simple. They tote around the same bin tourney after tourney, and the players looking at it for the first time think they've all been traded in recently, not collected over years and dozens of events.
