Spyder Or A Piranha

What is the difference between the spyder and the piranha and who would you rather buy from? Im for the spyder even though brass eagle bought the dam company. Ive been told that spyders are tougher and built to handle alot, such as getting liquid in your gun from the co2. But I do not know a thing about the piranha and i am curiouse what people think.

Honestly? They're really the same gun. Only REAL difference is that the Spyder doesn't use standard size screws or bolt patterns. Piranha does.

And no. Neither of them are built any tougher. They are mass produced with kinda iffy QC. I'd shoot a Tippmann first. Now THAT's a tank of a gun. You can bury it in the sand for a week and it'll still shoot.

From what I've seen PMI has a tad bit better QC than Kingman. But Dansim is right they are both the same gun built the same way. If I were to chose between the two I'd go with PMI.

almost the exact same thing. It seems like spyders are often cheaper. All my friends started with spyders, and they worked well for them. Another kid got a pirhana pro Ts or something like that, and i must say i like it. Between the two i guess id say pirhana. However, imo go tippmann. So indstructible, relaible, and just solid.

piranha's are more reliable, both in strength of parts and that thay don't freeze up, and they have teflon coated recievers. I think they're worth the extra money. Spyder seem cheap and seem to always break, while pmi's seem to have more quality, after allt they did come out with the first 2 layer blowback.

If I had to choose I'd go piranha. My friend's brother has a spyder TL+, and my other friend has a piranha. The TL+ actually could shoot faster if you fanned it, but the trigger pulll is much longer. It also feels like poo, looks like poo, and seems like total poo. The piranha feels less like poo than a spyder, although the trigger pull is shorter, its harder.

If you had to go Espyder or Epiranha, definatly go piranha, even if the new piranha eframes look like plastic poo (I dont know why they got rid of the original eframe! It was slick)

Who bought who? No I dont think so. Kingman is still their own entity. If a spyder is supposedly "tougher" from such things as getting liquid C02 in then the pirahna will do the EXACT same thing. Their design is the same, in fact I think it is kingman who had to change their design slightly to accomadate for the quick strip pull pin like on the pirahnas. The only real advantage I see buying a a pirahna over a sypder is that you wont have to deal with the ridiculously stupid off set screws for your bottom line.

A Piranha was my first gun, theyre good and simple guns for a new player. i would deffinetley go with a piranha over a spyder ANY day

Had a PRO TS G3 and a SHUTTER in the same family for a while and the PRO TS was with out question better quality.Better tolerances,better anno,better Reg.PMI in our experiance has FAR better customer service.We had an oring go bad and they 2nd day'ed a whole parts kit with out questions or cost and then emailed to see if it fixed it.

I'd go with the PMI. i think that they are easier to clean, and they look alot better.

PMI all the way. their customer service is top notch. my brothers piranha broke, they express mailed 2 of the same exact part to me, i got them the next day. i never even used the extra piece they sent, they sent it just in case, free of charge, all i had to do was give them my serial number. and the guy on the phone was really cool.

I have been using a piranha pro ts for about a year now. Although the design is nearly identical to the spyder, I feel it is a much better gun. It has standard size threading on the whole gun, as well as a vertical bottle adapter(the spyder uses an adapter with steel line). Piranhas also come with a nicer feeling double trigger frame(my opinion of course) and the internals stay together when you pull them out of the back of the gun to clean it. Go with the piranha, it will be better than any spyder.
