OK i need to bolster my ego after this shock. My friend shoots a tippmann 98 custom with an RT on it and a Flat line., He claims hes a sniper, hes known for standing in the wide open trying to "snipe people" by aiming down the barrel.

ok enough back story.

I got in my new X-valve. So now I shoot an X-valved Z-frame mag. Well I let him dry fire it. I didnt have but maybe 1500in the tank and he claims his gun shoots faster. That kinda pissed me off. I spend 225 bucks I better be beating a tippy. I know tyhe tippy rt shoves ur finger off and on .

Someone please tell me this thing can shoot faster and that im ok

Actualy, m98's have realy good trigger pulls, and the rt's are a lot better then the automags.

I have to admit though, I am annoyed by people who claim to be snipers. Tippmanns have horable consistancy, they arn't even good for rear players.

i do believe the tippman rt is not tourney legal while the mag rt is first off, but u should be able to get 13bps

i dont think tippmans are better than mags at all. i shot my friends tippman and i didnt like it, it was way too long for me and uncomfortable.

are those rt triggers legal? i mean, if you pull hte trigger slow, it will be one shot per pull. but if you fire the trigger faster, it will have more than one shot per pull, right?

yeah but don't forget Tippmann's RT is not tournament legal (well not in the league I play in) what's the point?

If he can fire it faster than you can fire your X-Valved mag, then it is faster, practically speaking.

Otherwise, it technically is not faster. I think that the X-Valve cycles and recharges more quickly, but I don't have solid figures for the m-98.

The thing with those triggers, though, is that they sweetspot with no effort, so it is percieved that they are faster, although it is marker doing the work, not the fingers. This is why they are not legal in many tournaments.

Of course, if you search, you can find clips of people sweet-spotting their Mags, and doing well over 20 cycles per second. Again, though, it isn' technically considered one shot per complete pull.

I just had to get that off my chest. Quite frankly anyone can shoot fast with a tippmann RT, its like setting your timmy debounce to 1.

tippmann rt's are not torney leagal, because the rule is one pull, one ball, and if you baull just right you can the trigger bounce, and although it's going back and forth, your not releacing and pulling the trigger

Get a better class of friends. One with some intelligence.

Or better yet get a Girlfriend. Then you will be GLAD if she is "faster" than your RT!

My friend is actually rather intelligent, but when it comes to pneumatics(sp) or paintball for that matter hes in the dark and my group of friends turn to me since I can fix any gun except my own.
