A+ Paintball clamp feed neck on my ULE...

With all the problems people have been having with busted loader feed necks from improper mounting, I decided to save myself the possible heart ache and future damage to my HALO by buying a clamping feed neck for my ULE. Phoned A+ Paintball (http://www.aplusp8ntball.com/) and ordered one of their angel threaded low rise necks a few days ago, total price was $41 with shipping.

Came home from work today and was pleasantly surprised that it arrived already, so I busted out the camera and the tools and mounted it.

Comparing the two, the A+ clamp that I received is just a tad taller then the stock ULE feed neck as can be seen in the top pic, the height difference is hardly noticeable once mounted.

The construction is clean and the design is very simple. The top of the feed neck is crenalated (second pic) and tightens down on the loader's neck when the adjustment piece is rotated clockwise.

The gloss black finish matched my black ULE body perfectly. For those that don't know, A+ does all the ano work for AGD, so they can match any of the stock AGD colors easily.

A+ also does custom milling, for all those that will be buying the warp ULE body, they will do both the machine work and reano the ULE body for under $100.

All in all, the clamp feed neck is well worth the $41.

I just take a pit of plastic and wrap it around the feed neck of my halo :P alot cheaper then 40 bucks and still looks nice after you cut off the extra.

The Angel feed necks sold as aftermarket are sold according to your hopper, so either Halo or Universal.

SIG: I had previously sanded my feed neck down to fit the CF module on my X-Mag and my warp feed. It fits losely into the clamp initially, but tightens down nicely with a couple turns.

Since these people already do the ano for AGD I wonder if we could sway Tom to ditch the current feednecks and go with something like this...so much better to deal with..

Not me, my halo is sanded and fits perfectly into the ULE neck, yes. However, I bought my halo when they first came out. Had the conversion made, 30 bucks.

And my feedneck/body is perfectly fine after....... damn. Now that I try and think about it, I'm not sure how long I've had my Halo. I know it's been well over a year, maybe even 2. Crap, hate it when this happens.

When did the Halo A come out? Bah forget it. Basically I've had it for a long time! I'll leave it at that. And I don't know if it's just a hunch or conspiracy theory, but I think the original batches of Halos had stronger bodies. I mean I keep seeing people showing pictures, and others complaining about their feednecks breaking. Yet I've dropped mine on a couple occasions, not even a slight crack anywhere.

Ah well. No matter, I have to look at mine any ways. I'm getting that "turns green, then turns to red" led light thing. Gotta replace the batteries and see if that's the problem. I'll be ticked if I have to send the bastard in and repair it.

                            A+ No Rise Clamp Feeds

Hey guy's I just want to let you know that we will have NO RISE CLAMP FEEDS for your ULE bodies in 3 weeks. I made some the day after IAO and we are testing them now on a few ULE's. We are rebuilding our shop (doubling the size) and as soon as we are up and running we will be ano-ing them in any colors that you want.
Just to clear up one mis-quote. We do not do all of AGD's anodizing (I wish) We do about half of all the X-Mags and some ULE's.

Hey, glad ya made it here. This is Frank that has been e-mailing you for the past few days about the feedneck I ordered but got messed up. Good thing the order got messed up since I wouldn't have known about your ULE clamping feedneck!

I hope you'll use this site more often since it is a great resource. The only reason I ordered that feedneck was because of this thread
