To all who question the durability of a mag

all i can say is wow im impressed

about 5 years ago i sold a friend of mine
my classic RT. well he used it for less than a year and then he quit playing paintball, put the gun in his closet and it was forgotten. a few days ago i saw him and asked him about it. Well i got my classic RT back SN# RT05500

hella deal too all his paintball stuff for $100
got the RT, 68/3000 nitro duck tank(very well out of date) jt mask, dye boomstick, crownpoint barrel, and a bunch of other small stuff.
    ANYWAY

i get it home and im going to start to take it apart for a total rebuild of the reg right...i mean its been sitting for the better part of 4.5 years. so im sittin there and figure what the heck i will try to air it up.
    I air it up.....no leaks.....NOTHING
everything worked perfect. so i put some oil in the macroline and have shot about a half case of paint though it.
    ok im done rambling
just though it was pretty impressive for a gun that sat for 4 years to STILL be rockin

    Thanks Tom

I stopped playing in 1996, put my .68 Automag and 'Fred Schultz' AA air system in the loft and forgot about it.

Started playing again last September, dug out my mag, oiled it, gassed it up (carefully....my bottle had a 1994 hydro date ) and it worked perfectly.

Sure the o-rings didn't last too long as they'd become brittle with age, but the hard parts look as good now as they did when I bought it in 93.
